Kwon has been involved in the fitness industry for 17 years.
He began in 1986 volunteering as a fitness club instructor, then moved into club
management and eventually owned and operated his very own fitness club. The club
was a success and earned great profits, however, Kwon was eager
to learn more about human body movement and sports medicine to provide better
training instruction.
His
thirst for knowledge in this field brought to Canada where he studied at the University
College of Cape Breton in Nova Scotia earning a Bachelor of Arts in Community
Studies Sports Option, where he learned about the relationship between community
and sports. He rounded his education with practical experience at the Max Bell
Clinic Centre, a physiotherapy clinic, volunteering as a trainer. At the same
time, he worked at the Cape Breton Wellness Centre supervising and training university
staff and students.
